About Us

Welcome to Burley Primary School

Thank you for visiting the Burley Primary School website. We are a four class Primary School (for children aged from 4 to 11) situated on the edge of the beautiful village of Burley, in the heart of the New Forest National Park. Our school benefits immensely from extensive grounds, including fantastic areas of woodland for the children to safely explore.

Our vision as a school is to strive for the highest academic standards while fostering a strong sense of community and nurturing a sense of the ‘awe and wonder’ of life in this beautiful part of the world. This is summed up by our motto which encourages everybody associated with Burley Primary School to…’Be the best you can be!”

We pride ourselves as being a caring and positive school community. We always put the needs of the children in our care first and strive to create a happy, secure and stimulating environment where the children can thrive and achieve their very best.

Partnership with our parents, and the wider village community, is at the heart of everything we do. At Burley Primary School we recognise and value the role that everybody has to play in the development of our children. Parents are always very welcome in school to help, review their child’s progress or to discuss any matters of concern.

Our school is supported superbly by our parent community through the Burley Primary School Association (BPSA), who give their time and energy generously to help fund projects that often could not be afforded without the kind donations of our school community. The BPSA regularly organise a range of social activities which bring the community of the school together in order to have fun whilst raising funds for the school.

I hope we have provided you with a sense of what everybody associated with Burley Primary School is extremely proud to offer our community. However, no website can convey the full picture of life at our incredibly unique school, so I strongly encourage you to come and visit us in order see for yourself. I am always extremely excited to meet new families, show them around our wonderful school and answer any questions they may have.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any help.
